Lisa brings another unique blend of experiences to the team at KWS. Lisa is the real voice at the end of the national fair treatment telephone services, a welcome voice to people in conflict.
Lisa has consulted to a diverse mix of clients in the strategic management of legal disputes and the preparation of matters for Alternate Dispute Resolution. She has also been involved in designing and presenting tailor made Strategic Negotiation and Conflict Management Workshops for a variety of clients.
Lisa’s academic background includes degrees in both Law and Economics from Monash University, as well as completing courses in Conflict Management, Mediation, Facilitation and Conflict Coaching.
From 2000 until 2005 Lisa consulted to the National Electricity Management Marketing Company (NEMMCO) in the strategic management of legal disputes and preparation of matters for Alternate Dispute Resolution. This included the strategic planning and evaluation of options for interest based resolution of disputes. When some of these disputes were not resolved by the initial facilitation process I assisted with the preparation of matters to be heard by the National Electricity Tribunal or a Dispute Resolution Panel.
Since 2000, Lisa has also been involved in the design and delivery of tailor made Conflict Management and Strategic Negotiation Workshops for both NEMMCO and a variety of clients on behalf of Resolve Advisors and CMA (Conflict Management Australia). These courses all emphasized interest based negotiation.
Lisa has consulted to a number of different organizations to facilitate Strategic Planning Workshops as well as facilitating meetings for professional development networks. Crucial to these workshops and meetings was providing attendees with the opportunity to explore current issues and develop practical solutions.
From 1999 to 2000 Lisa worked as a Research Officer with The Financial Services Complaints Resolution Scheme, analyzing complaints prior to mediation. This involved assessment of allegations made and highlighting areas of consensus and dispute to assist the parties in their preparation for mediation.
Prior to taking maternity leave Lisa practiced first as a solicitor for Clayton Utz and then as a Barrister at the Victorian Bar, developing a commercial practice.
In a voluntary capacity, Lisa is the President of Mount Scopus Memorial College.
