Ann Sebire

Ann joins the professional group of specialist consultants at KWS with a wealth of experience for clients to access.  Ann is one of our valued consultants, and trainers experienced in conflict resolution, equal opportununity complaint handling, and equal opportunity compliance training.

Ann is a registered psychologist who has extensive and diverse experience in the areas of counselling; critical incident and trauma stress debriefing, crisis management, career counselling, mediation and the delivery of training. Until recently Ann was a counselling psychologist with OSA Group, a private organisation delivering psychological services to over 500 organisations Australia wide. Ann is renowned for her quality counselling provided to individuals, families, couples and groups under EAP (employment assistance programs ).

Ann is qualified in areas such as CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management), psychotherapy, brief therapy and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to mediation and training. Her experience was gained in both general counseling and specialist health care settings, such as Child Protection, Victoria Police, victim support, academic institutions and private practices. She specialises in areas of bullying, sexual harassment and workplace stress. Whilst working for the Equity & Diversity Unit of Victoria Police, Ann delivered EEO compliance and fair treatment training to sworn officers and public service staff throughout the organisation and Victoria. Ann was also intimately involved in complaint management and resolution of EEO and bullying related complaints and investigations.

Her broad experience is valuable when consulting with organisations or individuals who experience internal conflict. She has also delivered training and presentations to a variety of public and private organisations, including schools, mental health facilities and universities. Her specific interest and expertise lie in the areas of trauma and equity. Ann also provides exciting training around emotional well being and good mental health.

With wide experience in the areas of child protection, Ann worked as a psychologist with child abuse victims and their families. She was exposed to the criminal justice system through working with a criminal barrister and counselling both the perpetrators and victims of crime for the Department of Human Services. In addition, she has conducted research in a number of psychological areas including addictive behaviours, eating disorders, male anger and self-control, aggression and violent personalities. She has co-written numerous papers and delivered at various forums on these related topics.
